This is the name we give our events. At each Bevy the energy in the room is really fantastic. We have 1-2 food vendors, great tunes, awesome craft beer and cider flowing (poured by our volunbeer army) and our swag shop set-up. We serve 10oz full beers or 5oz samples. It’s a fun party and a great way to chill out and meet new people. There are no name tags, no icebreaker games, no ‘networking.’ Bring a bunch of friends or come solo – we’re a welcoming crew.
Join us at our next Bevy at the Society Clubhouse!

Bevy 0042
Beau's & Halcyon
Date: Friday April 26, 2019
Location: Beau's & Halcyon
Eats: Los Vietnamita
Photographer: Nancy Kim
Beau's All Natural Brewing took over all the taps with their extensive list of 20+ beers and brought Halcyon Barrel House along with their barrel and foeder-aged, mixed fermentation sours. Halcyon concocted a Bevy Brew called Still/ Thirsty - a sour, still beer that walked the line of beer and wine.
We blew it up for 5th year birthday bevy - quite literally...renting 2 inflatable tents! We had not one but two entertainment stages and had an amazing line-up of female comedians and artists! We had 1000 women come through over 2 sessions- whatta great way to beat the winter blues.
Our 40th Bevy was held at Brunswick Bierworks and featured a line up of beers brewed there, our collab Brut IPA and Muddy York popped up too! Girl Gang Cabarets entertained and many a lady vendor popped up at our Artisan Market.
Eats: Chau, Steambox Dumplings, Big News Breakfast, Phancy Catering

We had a really amazing evening weather-wise: the perfect afternoon and evening for a beer fest! Ladies flowed between the indoor and outdoor spaces. We had a really cool vintage trailer that housed our cider bar too! This was Jen's last event with us and we had a teary-eyed good bye for her.
Eats: Highland Butter Tarts and Cheesus Murphy & the Grateful Bread
Photographer: Roxanna Nazarowicz
We popped up in the east with food by Jaime's MOM & AUNT. Butter tars and grilled cheese sammies! Pretty much the cutest thing. AND SO TASTY. We also had a cool brewery ' battle' between Haliburton Highlands & Oast House, both took over our taps and brought some amazing styles!
It was our 4th year birthday! We were so proud to reveal our highest amount ever donated to the Canadian Women's Foundation in 2017. We featured all Junction craft beer and partied in a brand new brewery with food by the delectable Tempered Room in Parkdale.
We took over a big warehouse and threw a unique indoor/outdoor event on Keele Ave. The major food fan favourite was Steambox Dumplings - the line-ups were FIERCE. We also launched a "Battle of the Bevy Brew" where two unique brews went head-to-head! Ladies voted for their favourite and the brewery was awarded a tacky/fabulous trophy!
As we saw from our previous events, ladies love their fruit, sour and funk brews! So we enlisted the help of the FunkLabs at Nickelbrook Brewing who brought their A-Game and took over the taps! We're also still drooling over the rich & delicious comfort Italian food that Gusto 54 dished up.
Location: Henderson Brewing - Tap Room & Parking Lot
Eats: Sausage Party & The Pop Stand

For our 4th instalment of Lady Beer Fest, we experimented with 2 sessions and tried out a 'Very Important Beer Drinking Lady" VIP ticket option. It was fun to have puppies around! Christina of Folly Brewing also took over the Henderson pilot brew system- it was cool to have a live brew going during our event! Highlight of the fest was TOTALLY the Jumpsations Double Dutch skipping all who came in from Hamilton and TORE. IT. UP.
We teamed up with a beer importing agency called Craft Brand Co - they took over the taps with the beers in their portfolio! It was a fun plethora of Ontario Craft, American craft and international brews. We invited the folks from Kung Fu Dawgs back too to whip up their hot dogs for our lady attendees as they were a fan favourite at our previous event, Lady Beer Fest 3.
We hosted our 3rd large Lady Beer Fest in the beautiful Evergreen Brickworks. We had lots of familiar breweries and a bunch of new ones of course.

Bevy 0009
At Jam Factory
Date: September 2014
Location: At Jam Factory
Eats: Tori's Bakeshop
Photographer: Renee Navarro
We began the 'Bevy Brew' a unique brew made just for the event. We had just won a Special Recognition Golden Tap at Toronto Beer Week and we're excited to proudly display it. This was our biggest event to date with 175 ladies!
Jaime made amazing cake pops for everyone on their way home. Nigel - the owner- proudly wore our SOBDL tank top for the night. We gave out Woodhouse Lager as a raffle prize - the brewery owner happened to be delivering his first order EVER to Food & Liquor and tossed us a couple cases.
Jaime's mom came out! The head brewer at Junction Craft Brewing also won the Learn to Home Brew Kit which was pretty funny. And Magenta gave her speech atop a wooden crate!
We started a pre-event set-up shift and introduced Morning After Bags! These are gift bags fill with coupons and treats that we still give out today, We tried our hand at Beer Cocktails. We tried out an event in an old house with multiple rooms - learned that we're MUCH better off throwing our bevies in one big communal space.
Location: Junction City Music Hall (before it was open!)
Eats: Pie Commission
Photographer: Renee Navarro
We crammed into the almost-opened Junction City Music Hall. Judging by the name tags, it appears as though we began to really use the 'Volunbeer' moniker and start to flesh out our volunteer program. It was SUPER hot down there - you can tell from a lot of oily faces and very foamy draught beer.
Bevucation 0004.5 Home Brew Day
Jen's Old Apartment
We upped our game with 150 ladies! This was the first time we ever had a food vendor out! We also we're dangerously low on beer by 10:30 pm so Erica rushed to the West End to grab a keg and bottles from a sneaky connection. There was also these UBER carbonated bottles of beer that we're exploding everywhere and we had to carefully pour them into any random vessel we could find!
This was our biggest event yet with 110 ladies! We started pouring beer on draught and stepped up our signage game. Banners! We apparently decided to all get dressed up and Jaime even made treats for everyone on their way out: Cake in a Jar!
This was our kick off event! We put tickets on sale thinking maybe 15 ladies would show up...and we sold over 90 tickets! We bought snacks from Bulk Barn and charged $10 all-you-can-drink! We even tried to walk everyone to Dominion Pub for an after-party after midnight (wound up just being the 5 of us and are significant others for the most part!)
