Andrea aka Drea, started volunbeering with the SOBDL because of her commitment towards women owned businesses that give back to marginalized communities. Since joining the SOBDL team, Drea has assisted with creating the framework for our Inclusivity Committee. Drea works in health care and as Program Lead for “The Dandelion Initiative” which specializes in; policy development, advocacy for survivors of gender based violence in hospitality, and trauma care resources and resilience training for essential workers during the pandemic. Drea also sits on the board of directors at “Rise up!” – a digital archive of feminist activism in Canada from the ’70s to ’90s.
